Culpable Homicide

The museum of our past,
The mirror of our present,
She is carrying our future.
Life itself she nurtures.

Her pulse has slackened… she sighs,
“My children!”, she cries out, “Why? Why?”
Her face is ashen.
Her skin is parched and broken.
She looks pale, her haemoglobin’s low,
The birds cease chirping in sorrow.
She’s running a temperature
Suffers from seizures
And coughs incessantly.
The ice pack on her forehead melts rapidly.

Mother Earth, we love her not.
Her brutal death we plot.
Quick, someone call 108*!
Before it’s too late!!

The speeding ambulance screeches to a halt
Strapped to the stretcher she’s taken to the ICU
The doctors are skeptical…is she alive??
They feel her pulse…Will she survive??
The tests say she has been poisoned.
Can you believe she was fed with deadly toxins?!
Who would be so cold blooded to do such a thing?
She’s been a benevolent mother like no other!
Who would be so inhuman to do such a thing?
A stunning beauty, we smothered

To book us for Culpable Homicide!

We knew not what we were doing
And now she is dying!!
But, are we willing to mend our ways?
She’s got only a few more days…
Let’s not hassle her more than she already is.

And avoid the divine glare!

She is in dire need of a nurse.
